This has been one of those weeks--started off Sunday when the ac went out--it was 105 outside and 95 in the house. Took us till about 10 pm Sunday nite to find a ac man to come out-he stayed till midnite--had to order parts so it was Monday about 2 pm till we got our air back on--Boy you sure don't realize how much you depend on your ac till it goes out. Now to pay the bill for fixing it,,,,,,,,,,,,Still hot In texas but I hear we might have some cooler weather on the way next week !!

My kitchen floor is clean !!! I mopped it and washed down the cabinets--fixing to catch up the laundry--maybe there is help for me after all !! I just got so far behind when Mom died-plus bringing so much of her stuff over here--I will have to go thru it slowly and give part of it to my sisters and get rid of a lot--guess I have just been to down and out to get started--I still have way to much stuff in here but I am working on it !! Slow but it's a start

Been a long summer. My Mom dying has been hard-then my sisters husband died saturday morning--they think he had a stroke--not sure--My sister and I didnt always get along but I know shes having a hard time-losing Mother and her husband both in less than 2 months. And the heat I am so tired of the heat--I think I'm ready for fall to get here Hope everyone else is staying cool

Been a while since I have posted. I'm still trying to get my Moms stuff in order--things are slowing down now thank goodness--not so much calling and papers to fill out. Going thru her things and getting rid of stuff has been hard for me. I donated her clothes-that was sad for me. I know it just takes some time.

I did take time to go get my eyes checked yesterday-been trying to do that for the last couple of years. My sight hasnt changed much but I have the beginnings of cataracts-both eyes--he said no big deal--come back in a couple of years and they would check them again and I have a floater(whatever the heck that is) I will have to google it

Just hot and dry in Texas--no rain in site--I wanted to get started walking again but the dr said its to hot to start now--wait till it cools down-- everyone stay in and stay cool !

We got out the other day and happened to drive by Dominos Pizza--now for us who live in Texas this will make sense--it was about 104-106--very hot and Dominos had 2 teen age kids standing out by the curb holding up a sign telling some special they had--not a tree in sight--no breeze--just hot. The kind of weather they warn you to stay in out of. So we circled around--I got the number off the window--called and asked to speak to the manager--after a couple of minutes the manager(who sounded about 15-16)--came on and I asked him if he knew it was over 100 out side and they had kids standing out in the sun????????????he said it was the main managers idea and they let them come in every 15-20 minutes to get a drink--and besides they were advertising a special--I said-- If thats the way you treat your employees I wouldnt eat one of your pizza's if you were giving them away---He said call back and talk to the main manager. We went back by in about 5 minutes and they had let the kids go inside.Sad

Don't ever let anyone tell you -you can rest when the funeral is over--I have never made so many calls and filled out so much paper in my life--I'm so tired. Hopefully it will get better in a few weeks?

My Mother died last nite about 9 p.m--thank you all for your prayers and kind thoughts--She went peacfully-it was the best we could hope for.

Mother is still hanging in there. Shes still and quiet--no pain. My sister came up yesterday and today and stayed a couple of hours--Friday I stayed all day and nite- because they thought she was fading--last nite I was going to come home and sleep but the storm knocked out the electricity -the generator wasnt strong enough to run everything so no ac in the building--I even called Oncor myself because they told the nursing home "we will put you on the list" I called them and said-I would think the nursing home and hospital will go to the top of the list-so I opened the window--got a newspaper and fanned my Mom till the electricity came back on. The generator keep the hall lights and oxygen going--got home at 1:30 a.m

Everything is about the same today--hospice came--we have that all set up. Mother is quiet--calm and in no pain. Thats all we can hope for at this point. It's between her and God
