This has been one of those weeks--started off Sunday when the ac went out--it was 105 outside and 95 in the house. Took us till about 10 pm Sunday nite to find a ac man to come out-he stayed till midnite--had to order parts so it was Monday about 2 pm till we got our air back on--Boy you sure don't realize how much you depend on your ac till it goes out. Now to pay the bill for fixing it,,,,,,,,,,,,Still hot In texas but I hear we might have some cooler weather on the way next week !!

@GrannyHummingbird - box fan and a spray bottle of water !!--We had men coming the next morning to pour cement or we would have gone to our sons house
I can't understand if it is hotter now than it was years ago, or if , as we age it just feels hotter. Your a/c sure did break at the wrong time! It is supposed to cool a little bit for both you, and I.
@SewWorthIt - I think we're older and spoiled to this ac !!! We used to just open the windows or sleep out under the stars--LOL
I do think our bodies are so use to a/c that being without is a killer for us anymore. Glad you got it going. I'd have gone elsewhere for sure. I can't handle the heat.
@TheSunnyC - We were both about half sick for a couple of days after--I know it was just from the heat
This heat is incredible . I suppose you live in Texas or around .
You have been lucky to find someone on a Sunday at 10pm !!! This excess of heat is not good and our bodies are suffering.

I hope you're cool now,, and I hope the weather gets better.
It's almost chilly hear today, and tomorrow it's gonna drop again.

@bleuzeus - it's cooler here too--it was 78 this morning--mid 90's now--but I doubt if thats what you call cooler huh? LOL. I have missed you my friend. And get you on my mind often. Hope your well and happy !
I think as kids we don't "feel" the heat like we do as adults ... or maybe it's all the temperature controlled workplaces and stores that have made us more intollerant of heat. Up in the north, it gets hot..but not steady hot. I hope it does cool down for those of you in the south.
You mean my 'rain dance' didn't bring lots of rain???? Shucks, guess I need to change the moves. haha. It is getting hot here....all in the 90s. For 3 days it will be 97 -100. Now that is hot for September in this part of the country. Weird weather is just all over. Take care.

Hi Maggie, I know how you feel about the ac. We went without one, for about
two years, in this hot florida sun and it was not easy. , Back then, I took alot of naps.
