  • Wow it has been a while since I posted. All summer there was nothing to talk about in Texas but the heat. It has cooled down some now. Just got a welcome call from my Dr.--he said the spot(skin) they thought might be cancer--wasn't !!!!!!!!!!!--That was such a relief. I guess I have just kind of been down and out since my Mom died--having trouble getting back into things. I do read your post and try to comment everyday. Almost October--where the heck did this summer go?

  • It is warm 80s here today and tomorrow but then headed for the 60s rest of the week. Just wish there was some rain involved but that looks highly unlikely.

  • @TheSunnyC - Same here on the rain and they say it looks like the same thru the winter and even next spring !

  • Glad to know the skin thing wasn't cancer! -  We have had a couple little 15 or 20 minute rains, and one that was 1".  Even so, it is dry, and we are  still under a  burn ban.- Don't be hard on yourself for feeling less than you normally would.  It would be a natural reaction for many of us.!

  • @SewWorthIt - we are still under a burn ban too--and the allergys are so bad with all this dry stuff in the air. Thanks for your kind words-it's just been a hard summer I guess

  • And I've been missin' you, Kiddo.  So glad about the no-cancer-good-news!!   Know just how you feel!!  Jeff had another one they were worried about, but the cat-scan last week said "No."   Good Good News!!!

    How is your Aunt doing?

  • @GrannyHummingbird - I know it's a relief to everyone to hear no cancer--but to someone who has had it(ask Jeff)-you can't even imagine the worry you go thru and the relief you feel. Aunt is doing ok--I think she is starting to slow down--she's 95--Lord Lord

  • That's what I meant, but it didn't sound that way.   Sorry

  • It was 78 degrees here today, but  the weather starts a cool-down by the weekend.  Haven't seen but only a passing shower in the last 3 months.  Everything is so dry in the yard.  We now have a brown lawn.  All in due time, the ground will be white so will not complain, well maybe whimper a little.

  • Glad to hear this good news for your health .
I think like you . You had a so hard path lately.

    Love
    Michel

  • @GrannyHummingbird - Oh No Granny I knew what you meant---I know you would never say anything out of the way--well unless I jump out in front of your car again !!!! LOL

  • @thistlepatch - Same here our yard is brown and no rain in sight !
