It's been a while since I have made a new entry. I have just been busy and running. My Mom wasn't doing well for a while--she's some better now. Johns parents have been having a lot of health problems--live out in the country and refuse to move to town--makes it hard to help them--Johns Dad has the beginnings of alzheimers-can't be left alone--his Mom has bad diabetes and has started falling-they have a son that lives next door-he's about 50--doesn't work-only comes over to borrow money-refuses to help.-Any way-you get the picture--not sure what we are going to do--I understand they want to live out their life out there-but it's just not safe.Sounds like I'm whining-I know-so I will stop there for now. Trudy-I am so sorry to hear of  the loss of your Father--love you my friend--wish I was closer.

Texas is froze over--John couldnt even get the car door open  this morning to go to work !!. So I'm making a pot of soup and we're staying in !! Bonnie tell Will John said thanks for the little truck--he can put his money in there !

Cold weather on the way for us--supposed to start raining/sleeting/ snowing tomorrow and not get above freezing till about friday--brrrrrrrrr-I went to Walmarts stocked up on soup making stuff-dog treats and of course M&M's

I saw a man light a stick match on his zipper this morning--havent seen anyone do that in years.

Today I saw a couple of "ladies I know that-smile and speak and act so sweet--till you get past them-they they talk about you(you all know the type) I was in the pharmacy area--Had the most overwhelming urge to grab 12 boxes of condoms--then say "Good morning ladies-sorry I can't stay and talk-I'm in a hurry this morning--then rush off--I didnt but it made me smile just to think about it(don't tell me ya'll aren't smiling either...............

This will sound pretty silly to lot of ya'll. Today I was getting ready to go to the store when I realized I had my house shoes on. I started to go changed them when I thought-I have never gone to the store in my houseshoes--something thats pretty common this day and time-but just something you didnt do in my time. I never saw my Mother go to the store in her house shoes. So today--I grabbed my keys and went to the store in my HOUSE SHOES !!! Wow-I'm quiet a rebel aren't I !!! I smiled all the way thru the store till I got back to my car--felt good to do something so outragous !! LOL -It's one of my new resolutions-stop putting things off--do some different things,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,hope your all doing different things this year too ! p.s I'm not telling my Mom I did that--

I went to Walmarts this morning-at the check out there was a girl in front of me checking out grocerys--she looked to be maybe 17-18--and she paid with a LONE STAR CARD !! Thats food stamps for others out of state. Now you tell me why a girl that young--dressed nice--no trouble walking--had a nice cell phone--you tell me why the heck she is drawing welfare--why isn't she working or in school ?????????? If she draws welfare at that young age-she will probaly draw it all her life. What in the world is wrong with the government--they need to clean out our welfare system. If you need welfare--you should get it for 6 months-then get a job !!--Don't get me wrong I know a lot of people need help--but I think it has become a way out. We heard one girl say she was going to have another baby so she could get more money. Lord Lord--ok off the soap box and back to the dishes

Glad Christmas is over this year--it got here to fast and for some reason -I just couldn't get into it. Just not the same without having little ones around. I went back to the foot dr. yesterday. He gave me a shot in my foot--believe me-not something you want to do unless you just have too. Hoping it will make my foot better soon. I'm trying to stay off of it as much as I can but it's kind of hard to do.(Karen is your hubbys foot better? He had the shot didnt he?) Now the nursing home has that 24 hour flu--it's harder on those older folks. Hoping Mom and Aunt don't get it.

2 things I have had on my mind today.A friend of ours called yesterday. His brother in law died--not counting the sprays of flowers at the funeral-they had 70 pot plants ! No one wanted them or had the time to care or them--he took the ones that were left-between 30-40--He asked me to take some--he has no room left in his house. I told him to take some to the nursing homes and what he had left that he couldnt keep I would take--I ended up with 4-I took a couple to my Mother in laws house. What a waste for flowers and money. Thats why I always tell people to donate money to some charityin the persons honor. Something to think about next time the need comes up.

The other thing--can anyone tell me what the difference in laundry soap and dishwashing soap is(besides the price of course) I can buy a gallon of dishwashing soap for about 3-4 dollars and a small bottle of laundry soap is about 7-10 dollars. I buy dishwashing soap and mix it with laundry soap--heck when I'm out of laundry soap I just use dishwashing soap in the washer--soap's soap--right???
