Our sons surgery is in the morning-rotor cuff on his shoulder--he has a bad tear-prayers please.
Nothing else happening in Texas but the heat and I'm not sure how much more we can take--109 here today,,,

I know I need to update but just not much going on in Texas but the heat. We are still trying to find some good insurance we can afford--thats the hard part. The ones you can afford dont pay much till you have spent several thousand out of your pocket. Just makes you mad but we will do what we have to--just cant take a chance on not having it. Friday is Johns last day at work--we are both looking forward to having some time off to do a few things. Oh I'm sure we will get tired of each other before long--but we will figure it out. Our son is having rotator cuff surgery next week-He will have 16 weeks to recover I think they said--so we will be running back and forth a lot the first couple of weeks. Hope everyone is staying cool where ever you are !

John has been on a 3 day work week for a couple of weeks now--and he's looking at taking that early retirement--so from all you experienced ladys out there--how the heck do I keep from killing him and burying him in the back yard?????????????????--Guess I'm just used to being here alone---right behind me,,,,,,turns the tv everytime I leave the room,,,,,,,,,,. Ok I'm just kidding--I'm not ready to kill him yet,,,,,,,,,but I thought ya'll might have a few suggestions just in case,,,,,,,,,,,,you know--something to put the fear of God in him,,,,,,,short of digging that hole,,,,,,,,,,,,,,I have about 3 weeks left before he will be here full time,,,,,,,

John has been planning on taking his retirement in April 2013-at 62 --because thats when he can draw his pension-30 years. He's tired of the long drive and several things. Well Friday they offered voluntary layoff--plus  several months salary for people who had been there a while sounds great huh??--whats the hold up??? Insurance--we arent quiet old enough for medicare and buying your own insurance is real high !!! Anyone know of any good insurance-that wont break the bank--we are going to go check some out tomorrow--we only have till friday to decide but we will still have his company insurance 1 more month. I know aarp has some good insurance--not sure how expensive it is for those not collecting medicare. Just thought someone might have an idea

I reached down to scratch my foot this morning and it popped in my mind my Mother used to say"If the bottom of your foot itches your gonna walk on strange ground" or If the palm of your hand itches your gonna come into some money--or did it depend on with palm itches ? I have forgotten. It your ears itched someone was talking about you. Any one besides me remember those? How about ones that you have heard?

Just made me think of my Mother this morning

 Let me say that I think everyone is entitled to their own opinion--I enjoy hearing what other people think--I might not agree with it and you might not agree with me --but what a sad world if we all thought the same huh?Now let's move on--I hope everyone isn't getting this heat like we are--by about 10 am it's just to hot to get out much. Does everyone have big plans for the fourth of July? We don't really have any plans that I know of-but it will just be nice to have a day off !

Thats all I'm saying

I know it's time to update but just not anything happening in Texas--except the heat--looks like its gonna be another hot summer--By 9-10 every morning it's just to hot to get out and do anything. We had a real nice Fathers day-our son and his wife took us out to Chilis for lunch and we ate and talked--just enjoyed the after noon. Everyone asks me what I do with my time now that my Aunt is gone--truthfully--I'm still a bit lost--I went to that Nursing home almost everyday for 10 years --hard to figure out what to do now--but I will. Hope everyone is enjoying the start of summer

Yesterday we went to eat at one of our favorite BBQ places for lunch. We had ordered and I was looking around at people and I noticed a table with 4 young men--all about 20-maybe 30 years old. They all had their heads bowed--I said to John--"now thats something you dont see to often any more--all 4 other those young guys with there heads bowed,saying a prayer before they eat. That does my heart good to see that.'

John said "Where" I said"Right there at that table" John said "You better look again-their not praying--there all checking their cell phones under the table and texting !
