My reply--McDonalds response
This is a follow up about our visit and the charge for 1 extra syrup--I got your letter. But you still didnt say if the next time we go to mcDonalds-will we be charged for 1 extra syrup? Is that your new policy? Do we bring our own syrup or will it just be easier to go some where else? This week we are going to ask around at different places to see who charges for "1" packet of syrup(not 5-or 10)

Once again, I apologize for your unsatisfied experience with McDonald's. I appreciate this opportunity to share some information with you.
Please know that once you've contacted McDonald's, your information is forwarded to the appropriate person for handling. Approximately 85% of our restaurants are individually owned and operated by franchisees and your comments have been shared so that appropriate action can be taken.
We will follow up with the franchise owner regarding your most recent contact. We value you as a customer and look forward to serving you again soon.

Thats enough "BS" that would need extra syrup to cover it !

Hello Mags,
Nothing these days surprises me about any fast food or other wise. Hubby & I very rarely eat out mainly due to funds but I also feel they over charge so much & the food just isn't all that great, then to over charge or even charge at all for condiments what on earth?
Sorry about your computer hope it arrives soon & all goes well with it...hugs dearest
Is "heather" running for political office? She sure has the skills to evade a question with the best of them!
@gokellyjo - You took the words right out of my mouth !!!
Last time I went to McDonald's, they dropped a whole tall stack of plastic glasses, and they went rolling on the grimy (and I DO mean GRIMY) floor. They picked them up, and set them back up by the drink machine. Glad they'd already served me MY drink!!
I think you should copy all these comments and send them to Miss Heather!! Yup, I think she's a politician...passing the buck without answering your question. Know what? If you DON'T get an answer from SOMEBODY that counts, I WOULD go back one more time, take my own syrup, and make a scene about it to anybody who comes in. Make sure the local manager hears all that's going on!!
GO GIT 'EM MAGGIE!!!
The second answer is still elusive. This is not surprising, these restaurants are industrial chains. Real owners are anonymous shareholders. !
The are probably other restaurants around.
Take care
Love
Michel
Oh she answered you, it's a franchise so they simply pass the comments on to that owner and leave it to him to call. IHOP has a general manager for the area, he makes one call and if you aren't home tough as he won't return your call. I've figured out if I want my pumpkin pancakes there is only one store I'll go to and get them and it isn't my local IHOP.
@BLB - When I emailed IHop about the waffle I got there--that wasnt much more that dough--he sent me one of these same -"Oh we are so sorry-" e mails and offered me a coupon for a free egg and pancake breakfast--needless to say--we havent been back there either,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
Sounds like they are running for pres. with a lot of words that say absolutely nothing about the question that was asked.
@Grannys_Place - amen !!
I suspect you will need to talk to a local manager if you want an answer that might satisfy you. Usually a Micky Ds has a sign posted somewhere with the name and addy of the local owner(s). They might also be willing to answer your question.
@vexations - Thanks-thats an idea !
