I will be on and off for a week or so. Got a new hp computer couple of months ago--kept freezing up--had it tested several times. HP finally decided it had a bad hard drive-so I sent it back to them--mean while I will be on my old slow one,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Think daughter went through that with HP. I went through problems with Gateway. My HP printer was replaced at no charge even though warranty had expired. Of course it is a refurbished one and that is what they will do probably with your computer.
I was fortunate to find a friend when I was in child advocacy who happen to build computers. That's what I now have.
@BLB - This old pc is just so slow after using the new one--but they said it will be week--10 days turn around so thats not to bad.
I remember the days Gateway sent someone out to work on mine, bet that is no more.
Remember once stuff gets added eventually computers slow down. lol
I don't have trouble and if I do my hubby is able to fix it-knock on wood.
@jillcarmel - lucky you--but my harddrive crashed--they asked me if they sent it to me could I put it in--I said heck no !
