It's been a long week. First my Aunts funeral on Monday--she looked so peaceful and beautiful--Tuesday--our ac went out-but luckly it was a simple thing(well except for the service call charge !) Wednesday--we found out we had a bursted water pipe under the house--cut the water off--called a plumber--said he would be there 8 am thursday morning--he called at 730--said he couldnt come. Johns at work so I picked up the phone book and said a prayer"Lord help me pick out a good plumber who wont charge me a lot"---dialed the first one in the book--turned out he was my son's neighbor--he was real nice-did a good job and didnt charge a arm and a leg--thank you Lord. Now I have paper work and all my Aunts stuff to go thru-so maybe things will settle down in a few weeks. Thank you all for your prayers

You did a good job in getting a plumber. You're right, things will settle down-keep that in mind.
You need hugs for the week, so here they are ((( )))
Gosh, I haven't logged in, in awhile. Been so tired. I hope
things work out. I will say a prayer for you darling. You've
been through so much. I'm sorry about your aunt, but she's in
a better place, without suffering. I agree with your friend,
do something nice for you, and your hubby. Thank the Lord,
you found a good plumber! He is our Solace, and Comforter!

Oh so sorry for your loss....sympathies for you & family.
Wow saounds like us, except our AC caught fire cost us 500.00 insurance paid the remaining 361.00 ouch. Hubby is a retired pipe fitter but because of his COPD he can only do so much now. so he has what you called stoped the running of the water but has of yet fixed it lol. As long as it isn't costing us money we do have another faucet lol. Oh yeah funerals are danged expensive. We have burel plots & have paid for 1 opening & closing of a grave but the other one oh well? Good thing we are insured huh?

Not only there is the loss of your aunt but there is the paperwork , so painful
You have all of my compassion and my encouragements , maggie

Maggie, I would love to come back here and continue my journal but between neuropathy, arthritis and just plain wearing out, my hands just don't seem to be able to do much at the keyboard any more. So many typos and the spell check doesn't catch a lot so I have to do them one by one. Nervewracking! As a result, I stick pretty much with facebook and ony type little snippets at a time.
So sorry about your aunt. I know what you mean about hospice. They treated Gordon so well his last days. It's not been easy without him, but I try to keep as busy as I can.
I think things breaking are pretty much the devil at work, testing us and with the help of God, we get through those times.
