First let me say I think they should outlaw Black Friday ! I think it has got out of hand. When people are pushing and fighting over saving a dollar or two--it's time to think about a different plan. Just have a day after Tsgiving sale. Have enough sale items for a lot of people with a limit on how many each person can get. The first one to push, shove, fight,cuss etc-is evicted from the store for 3 days !! Good heavens folks have we forgotten what Christmas is about??????????? Ok off the soap box

I have never been to a Black Friday sale in all my life! I'm just not one to mingle with many people.

I hate crowds I do most of my shopping online...lol. I used to be a CSM at Walmart & I have been on that side watching the idioticy of how folks can really fight over 1 thing it's ridiculas. My daughter does the Black Friday thing she loves it! So I guess to each their own but I do believe that the spirit of Christmas is lost amongst all that hussel & bussel.
RYC: Thanks so much for the ideas, & some of yours are ours as well, lol we do the pigs in a blanket and the dips. Soup is a great idea. I have done the stuffed celery but the only ones who like those are my immediate family so I quit doing them lol. Thanks again Maggie good to see your comment.

I totally agree with you Maggie. It's too bad, people won't ban, black Friday, and let
the corporations know they won't have none of it! The more people shop and carry
on, the more they will push it. Just look at the Target commercials with that insane
lady. sure, she'es funny, but some people really do go overboard. We had a fight
in our store, 4 arrests. One car stolen off the parking lot, and a whole lot more.
Two women arrested over $1.96 towels. (Which were so cheaply made they'd
fall apart in a few washings). But if people won't ban together, nothing will be done.
Just look at all the people shopping on Christmas Eve, and the day after Christmas?
There is no (Christ)-in Christmas anymore. I've seen too much, working in these
stores. I've seen women, leave their babies, in the shopping cart (with stolen merchandise)-
to run away from the cops which were called to arrest them. It's ridiculous.
Groups now go into the stores, and ---they steal. Their teaching their children, to steal
as well. Their like gypsies. We caught 6 people-- a family. The kids were taken to
a services. The parents arrested. By the way, thanks for the kind words on my blog.
I'm just behind on my email's. I have been so tired. Worked 7 days straight, thru
Thanksgiving, etc. I'll probably have to work Christmas Eve as well. I hardly ever
get time with my family anymore. The credit card stuff isn't going well. I don't know
what I'm going to do. I hope they don't put me in jail. Riding_Hood
@Riding_Hood - I can't even imagine working thru that Black friday mess. They said some ladies got in a fight here over those towels and an officer threaten to pepper spray them !!!. I hope things work out for you how my friend. Bless you and your family

I agree with you Maggie. I DO NOT participate in any of those types of sales. Christmas IS NOT about the gifts, but love we have for our Lord. Even now, I avoid going to the stores during their busy time, go early when they open or not at all. Didn't heed my own advice earlier this week and after about 30 minutes at Macy's I bolted from the store and went home.................
@thistlepatch - I do the same--go early. I got caught in a crowd at walmarts one day last week and like you--I left !

Hi Maggie, thank you. I know, I wish people would realize the real reason for Christmas.
I think it's gotten too commercialized, and only worse over the years. I will do my best,

Completely agree! The hype increases every year & the day just brings out the worst in people.
